Right in the centre of Bielefeld, the headquarters of Dr. Oetker, in an old historic building (a former pudding plant) the Dr. Oetker World was created. The sensitive construction of the production building consisting of iron concrete necessitated a careful approach regarding the additions with the nowadays common steel concrete.

Facade and the form of the roof were newly created on the basis of historic models using reconstructed brick stones

The courtyard received a steel glass hall, which presents itself to the public as a showcase representing in a transparent way both the building structure as well as the processes. As a kind of semi-public area the building itself contains the brand exhibition „Dr. Oetker World”, the test kitchen as well as the staff restaurant. Furthermore, special areas such as a festivity hall are also available. The exhibition „Treasures from the Film Archive“, reinforces the public avowal of the enterprise to its history and the location Bielefeld.
