General Planning
2006
In the winter 2004/2005, literally in the open countryside the earthworks started for an approximately 30.000m² complex of buildings. After only 12 months the trial run of the first new production lines could be initiated. The setting up of a special zoning map, archaeological excavations and comprehensive civil works for the supply and disposal system of the area preceded the actual construction work.
In order to be able to commence with the installation of the baking lines as early as possible the object had to be divided up into two units. Therefore, the ovens were installed at a time when the storage and distribution buildings were still in their shell stage.
Bread and Rolls for the North of Germany
A total of approximately 100.000 tonnes of flour are processed annually. The site is directly located at the A 20 motorway and facilitates the supply of approximately 800 supermarkets in Northern and Eastern Germany with the well-known brands Lieken Urkorn and Golden Toast. Due to these large amounts half of the building is occupied by production and the other half is reserved for storage and logistics purposes.
