General Planning
2006
The planning required first of all a modern architectural overall solution. This was particularly important to the property developer. If possible, a cost-saving way of building was to be implemented. The property developer also demanded a modular extension, i.e. the unlimited possibility to create additional administrative workplaces. In a fundamental draft the future expansion was sketched out in three phases of extension. An architectural equivalent has been created which opens itself up to the viewer in many structural aspects.
The building conceived as a shell, shows functionality
Exposed masonry was used without any lowered ceilings. Therefore the supporting structure is seen as visible Ferro concrete. With a special array of windows and doors maximum transparency is achieved. This is reinforced by glass brick in the office partitions. The extraordinary architectural shape finds its continuation in the exterior view. The façade colours have been chosen contrary to the colour concept of the existing building. Due to its seemingly asymmetric array of windows the façade is particularly striking. This extraordinary effect is reinforced by the movable shutters. Two conical façade elements turn the building into a central eye-catcher for any visitor.
